The 44422 LOCOMOTIVE FUND
AGM DAY 2008

9th March 2008 was AGM day for The 44422 Locomotive Fund which was held at Froghall Station on the Churnet Valley Railway. There was not really an opportunity to take many photographs so just a few shots of 44422 reversing after arriving with a train from Cheddleton.

For those who are not aware, the yellow stripe on the cab side denoted that the engine was banned from operating South of Crewe on the West Coast Main Line after electrification. Though never actually carried by 44422, because of its location away from the WCML, it was carried by other members of the class based in t he North West. The only other engine in preservation known to carry the stripe is the 8F based on the Severn Valley Railway.
